Ingredients

  • 4 apples sliced (5 cups)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Place the sliced apples in a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with the spices, add the water and lemon juice. Work together the flour, sugar and butter until crumbly and spread over the apples. Bake at 350 degrees until brown (about 1 hour). Serve with whipped cream.
